Counselor
The Sexual Assault Resource Agency is hiring a full-time (40 hour) counselor to provide crisis intervention and counseling services to individuals (adults, children, and adolescents) who have experienced sexual violence. Responsibilities include: individual counseling, facilitating support groups, case management and supervision of direct client services. Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or other human service field required. Licensure required. Adolescent Educator, Sexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA), Charlottesville, VA
SARA is hiring a part-time adolescent educator to lead our education and prevention programs for adolescents. This person will be part of our child and adolescent team along with our child educator and child advocate. The adolescent educator is responsible for development,
coordination, and implementation of adolescent education and prevention programming, including SARA's programs in area schools and community settings, SARA Teens volunteer group, and a support group for teen girls.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of and/or sensitivity to sexual violence and issues
specific to the adolescents/children.
• Knowledge and/or experience working with adolescents/children.
• Demonstrated ability in public speaking and/or training.
• The ability to work cooperatively with different personalities
and individuals of diverse racial/economic/cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability in time and resource management.
• Demonstrated ability in organizational skills, including
program planning, development, and evaluation.
• Demonstrated skills in oral and written communications.
• Bachelor's Degree and/or two years of relevant working
experience preferred.
