Shelter Operations ManagerDescription: Responsible for proper functioning of the shelter to include: answering crisis hotline, completion of client intakes, providing case management and overseeing supply and household maintenance. Full time position; Daytime/some evening hours. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a human services field and at least one year of related work experience required; an understanding of the issues of family violence or the willingness to learn, ability to work with families of various racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously.

Ms. Foundation for Women

SUMMARY: The Ms. Foundation for Women seeks an exceptional individual with program management, fundraising, community organizing, leadership development and training skills for the position of Program Officer. Research and writing skills are a plus. The Program Officer will bring a practiced understanding of women and girl’s, and social justice issues, including a deep understanding of the intersections of race, class and gender. The Program Officer will bring expertise in the areas of youth development, youth organizing and safety to the Program Cluster, along with an understanding of the connections between gender, sexuality and violence. The Program Officer will be a key member of the Program Cluster that provides grants capacity building support aimed at policy change and culture change through movement building. As part of the team, the Program Officer will coordinate grantmaking, training and outreach work related to movement building, particularly related to youth and young women, including representing the Foundation in key donor and practitioner venues. S/he will manage grantmaking in the area of safety, supporting efforts aimed at preventing child sexual abuse and gender-based violence, including work with youth and young women. S/he will actively engage in donor cultivation, networking and fundraising to maintain and increase resources for this work. For full announcement in Word.
