We are toll-free, confidential, and here 24 hours a day.
We offer the following to family violence and sexual assault
survivors, their friends and families, professionals, and the
general public.
- Crisis intervention
- Support
- Information about recovery, safety planning, community
resources, options, etc.
- Advocacy for sexual assault and family violence survivors
- Referrals to community rape crisis centers, domestic violence
programs, and other local resources
What other services do we offer?
In addition, we offer the following to anyone seeking information
about sexual or domestic violence.
- Resource packets on a variety of topics for callers seeking
written information.
- Technical assistance to professionals working with victims
and perpetrators of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Brochures and other resource materials in bulk for agencies
seeking to distribute information about domestic violence
and sexual assault.
Who can use the Virginia Family Violence & Sexual
Assault Hotline?
All Virginians, including survivors of sexual assault or
family violence, friends and family of survivors, and the professionals
who serve them, can access the Hotline 24 hours a day by dialing
the above toll-free number.
Callers who are hearing impaired may dial the same number
when using a TTY.
The Hotline employs bi-lingual (English/Spanish) staff and
contracts with Language Lines to provide language interpretation
services for callers; the Language Line offers interpreters
for over 140 different languages. Nosotro hablamos Espanol.
