Ending Sexual and Domestic Violence
One Person at a Time: Kids & Teens
- Treat everyone fairly, with kindness.
- When you are angry with a friend, sister, brother, or parent, don’t try to hurt them or put them down. Solve problems without yelling or hitting.
- Ask and learn about sexual and domestic violence. Give a presentation in school.
- Make a web banner to raise awareness. Visit www.nsvrc.org or http://endabuse.org/programs/publiceducation/ and click on “Reaching Out on the Web” for ideas. Refer people to www.vsdvalliance.org for help and information in Virginia.
- If there is violence in your home or your relationship, you deserve to get help. Talk to teachers, guidance counselors or other trusted adults. Keep telling until someone helps you.
For more information email info@vsdvalliance.org E-mail is not a secure form of communication. To ensure confidentiality please call the Family Violence & Sexual Assault Hotline at 800.838.8238 (V/TTY).
