October 1, 2011 Hanover Safe Place will host its 13th Annual Pumpkin Run, the Pumpkin Run is a 5k trail run through the pumpkin patches. Participants can choose from the following events: 5k run, 5k walk, or 1 mile fun walk. The event will also include a visit from Kicker-roo, mascot for the Richmond Kickers, as well as vendors (such as Pampered Chef, Thirty-One, and premier Designs Jewelry). Included in the Kid's Fun Area this year will be face painting, popcorn, sno-cones and more! Registration opens on August 1st! October 24, 2011 Hanover Safe Place will host its annual Candlelight Ceremony in the Brown Campus Center, at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland. Our keynote speaker will be Susheela Varky of Virginia Poverty Law Center. The Ceremony will begin at 6:30pm. We will honor victims and survivors of domestic violence in this ceremony.
